I, personally, don’t follow 24. I watched the first two seasons and, while enjoyable, just never got into the third but I know a lot of people out there are huge fans, so I thought I’d better post some information that’s emerged about the planned two hour long TV-movie which will air in the autumn, between the end of season six and beginning of season seven. I’ll tell you now it’s not exactly an Earth shattering reveal but it might give you 24 fans something to talk about.

So enough pontificating, during an Associated Press report about the webisode spinoff from 24, called The Rookie and featuring Jason Blaine, a character first seen in “24’s” fifth season, aboard a Russian sub, they revealed that the TV-movie would be a prequel to the events in season seven and would be set in Africa. No word on whether it’s going to be in the style of the series (as in set in real time) but I’m sure more details will begin to emerge soon.
