WATCHMEN Video Journals #9, #10, MySpace Exclusive Video & Japanese Trailer Online

Somehow we managed to miss telling you that the 9th video journal for Watchmen had gone live back at the begining of December, so just in case you missed it you can check it out by following this link right here, where you can watch it in either Quicktime or Windows Media Player formats. The 9th journal shows the “easter eggs”, all the visual embellishments and design nods taken from the Graphic Novel and placed within the movie.

Now that we are all caught up, it’s time to bring you video journal #10! This one focuses on The Minutemen, the first group of heroes from the Graphic Novel. Damn it looks good. Anyway, you can either watch the new journal below, via MySpace, or watch the video by clicking on this link to watch it in Quicktime via Apple.com.

Now, a slight cock-up this, but MySpace debuted a new video just before Christmas, which people assumed was video journal #10, but turns out to just be an exclusive look at the movie for MySpace (which is pretty damn ironic seeing as the owners of MySpace are……….FOX!) which see’s Zack Snyder describing the movie and features a ton of new footage – all of which looks wonderful! And look, there’s Moloch!

Watchmen Exclusive

And finally, a Japanese trailer for Watchmen has appeared online, and also features lots of never before seen footage. It’s certainly the best trailer so far!

Watchmen will hopefully be released on March 6th of this year, if Fox and Warner Bros can come to some kind of agreement, anyway!

I heard this fantastic “rumour” that the more refined details of Warners original deal show that if Fox decide to carry on playing unfair, Warners could very well junk the film entirely for the American market but Paramount will see that it rolls out across the UK and Europe as originally planned.

Someone else was telling me that Warners could get round this by releasing it straight to DVD around the US. But that makes no sense to me!

Yes, Hazmat, that would be the Japanese release date, as it’s the Japanese trailer.

oh thank god….i nearly killed myself

i guess its a matter of time until a trailer comes out in the US and it says “6.12.10″ or something…

Love the Japanese trailer. If Fox screws this up and prevents distribution, I may have to pull an Ozymandias and teleport a giant squid in the middle of their CEO’s office.
