It’s the 6th of the month of October (actually, as I write this it’s the 7th here in the UK but never mind) which must mean that we are due another glimpse behind the scenes of Watchmen, and this time the clip is hosted by Scifi.com and it doesn’t disappoint as it goes behind the scenes to look at how they created Dr Manhattan (played by Billy Crudup) and brought him to life with the motion capture suit, facial motion capture and even a look at the 45 foot version! And if the test footage is anything to go by he could well be one of the most convincing “digital actors” we have ever seen. And there’s no need to worry about the “dead eyes” we have gotten in the past with movies like Beowulf as Dr. Manhattans’ eyes are completely white!
Check out the new video over at Scifi.com right now.

One Response to “WATCHMEN Video Journal #7 Online”
Good find, Gareth. Love the new footage of Dr. Manhattan and some footage of a location where a pivotal scene involving him and Veidt takes place. Also his introduction shot with Rorschach looks great.
