Stale Popcorn

Obviously I don’t want to be accused of turning the site into www.[rec].com or anything, what with me having published a glowing review of a brilliant film AND updated you all with news of the upcoming US remake, but I just wanted to take the opportunity to remind you Brits that [• REC] is opening on a surprisingly wide release (for a low budget Spanish film) this weekend and Odeon Cinemas have really got behind the flick, giving it Director’s Chair Preview Screenings and Late Night Weekend Showings too (which makes a change for them to support something a little “different”).

So please, turn [• REC] into the sensational sleeper hit that it deserves to be. Grab some buddies, take your partner or – if you’re brave enough – head out on your own (I’ll be doing just that on Sunday night unless I can coax my buddy Porter along!) but just make the effort to check this out on the biggest screen possible!
