The Rock Blames Matt Damon For Career Slump!

This is priceless. Filmstalker have reported that everyone’s favourite ex-WWF star turned movie actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is blaming his career slump on Matt Damon!! Oh, that’s just too damn funny. Apparently he told Star Pulse News blog that:

“I love action movies but with what Matt Damon was able to do with the Bourne series and how kick-ass those movies were, he raised the bar. Whatever material comes in, if it’s not that, then I’m not doing it. That’s the goal.”

Riiiiiight. So that explains Be Cool? Or Doom? Or Gridiron Gang?

Actually I agree with some of what he said. The Bourne Identity was such an amazing kick in the pants to the action genre that it ended up rebooting Bond with Casino Royale so there is no doubting it’s importance, but I somehow find it a little hard to swallow that that’s the reason for The Rocks careers downward turn.

Want my advice Rock? Do what everyone expected and get a remake/sequel going to Conan The Destroyer. I think you would be perfect in that.

Perhaps the Rock should show writers his “peoples elbow” or that infamous eyebrow to get them inspired.

Rock as the Conan? Aww please, that would suck so bad. “Conan the Destoyed Pointless Remake With Added Bad WWF Acting”.

He was so good in the RENO 911 movie though!

And WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE was Walken-tastic!

    (It’s my new word-du-jour!)

I actually saw his new kiddie flick The Game Plan on saturday when they did the sneak peek. Surprisingly, I wasn’t ready to claw my damn eyes out. It’s a cute little flick. Yeah, it’s predictable as all ****, but the guy has crazy charisma. And yeah, I’d hit it. HARD.

Will we be getting another guest review perhaps?

He was good in The Rundown. And in Grid-Iron Gang. And in Reno 9-11 (hilarious). He’s genuinely a good actor, he just always looks like a bloody man mountain and I think that is distracting for an audience. He might not be able to star in something equivalent to Monster’s Ball in that regard, y’know, the Oscar bait that actors seek out inbetween the payback and safe flicks?

I don’t think I’d sleep with him, but never say never! Ha ha ha!

Come on James, you’d sleep with ANYONE! Stop playing hard to get ;) LOL
