So, Who’s Gonna Be In THE HOBBIT?

LOTRAt the very least, Sir Ian McKellan, Hugo Weaving, and Andy Serkis, straight from director Guillermo Del Toro’s mouth.  It’s a little unclear from the interview as to who Weaving will be playing, but you have to assume that he’ll be Elrond again.  I have to say that I am shockingly underwhelmed by all of the online Hobbit hype.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of the LOTR film trilogy.  I adore those movies.  Having said that, I’m just not that excited for this film.  I can’t explain why.  Maybe it’s my bitterness over the fact that I really, really want to see Hellboy III get made and I wish Guillermo was working on that instead of this.  Maybe I’m just burnt out in regards to LOTR.  I’m sure I’ll see this movie when it’s released, but I’m really not too pumped for this news.

Hey, because Guillermo is doing these movies means that he will get to do another Hellboy, he will get to do Frankenstein with Doug Jones and of course At the Mountains of Madness as well whatever little movie he wants to do. So him doing these movies is a great thing.

By the way The Strain is a great read.

I cannot wait for the this one. Return Of The King and Two Towers I gave perfect scores to…and I rarely give a perfect score

Grundy, the problem is by the time he gets done with this one, it could be too late for HBIII. This is gonna take him a couple of years, Perlman’s getting up there in age, and audience interest in HB was never too high in the first place. He might not be able to get it greenlit, even with his clout.

If del Toro is doing a Hellboy movie, it don’t matter how old Perlman is he’ll suit up, the man is a workhorse.

I dont know if you guys know about it…but there was this lady who was a huge Hobbit fan that was going to die, she had terminal cancer or something, and she was asking people to sign their names so that they could speed up the release date of this movie because she wanted to see this before she dies, I put my name in but, this was like a year ago…this post reminded me of her….

    …I hope shes not dead…
