Role Reversal For Simon Pegg & Nick Frost?
I loved Spaced. Shaun of the Dead kicked so much ass that it’s untrue. Hot Fuzz, while it might not have been as funny as Shaun, was a really good movie. So the news that we are getting yet another comedy starring Simon Pegg & Nick Frost can only be a good thing! But this time it looks like there may be a twist…In a reversal of the “norm” it looks like this time Simon Pegg is going to be taking the backseat to Nick Frosts character in their new movie, called Paul. This is what they told MTV:
While the details were few and far between from Pegg, he did reveal the title and a little of the plot. “It’s called ‘Paul’ and it’s a road movie about two British geeks in America.” Pegg added that the film will be shot here in the States.
So will we see a similar dynamic between Simon and Nick as depicted in “Shaun” and Hot Fuzz”? Pegg laughed said, “No, it’s different actually. I’m the bitch in this one. This time Simon’s the bitch!”
Road trip. Pegg & Frost as geeks (like that’s a stretch of the imagination!). OK, I’m in. And it will be nice to see Nick Frost given a bit more of a chance to shine than he has had in the past.
Paul is being written by Pegg & Frost but so far there is no director attached.

I LOVE Spaced, I LOVE Shaun, and I absolutely LOVE Hot Fuzz. Anything these guys do is instant gold in my book. They’ve got the best track record in the industry as far as I’m concerned, so I can’t wait.
Plus, I think I have a bit of a thing for Pegg. Maybe it was the cop uniform during the big shootout in Hot Fuzz that did me in, but I like the guy.
I actually got told I used to look a lot like Pegg does in HOT FUZZ when I was a police officer!
