Lois Maxwell, the first actress to portray Miss Moneypenny in the James Bond franchise, making her first appearance in Dr No, has sadly passed away in Australia of cancer aged 80.
As well as playing Miss Moneypenny fourteen times, with her last appearance in Roger Moore’s A View To A Kill, she also appeared in Stanley Kubrick’s Lolita, That Hagen Girl with Shirley Temple (which also won her a Golden Globe) and many TV shows including Dangerman, Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) and The Persuaders.
