Sadly Patrick Swayze has lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. He died on Monday aged 57.
His publicist, Annett Wolf, released a statement that said “Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months”.
The actor, possibly best known for his roles in Dirty Dancing and Ghost, but who I always mainly think of as Bodhi from Point Break or Dalton from Road House, refused to let his illness stop him from acting and he was last on our screens in The Beast.
My thoughts and best wishes are with his family at this sad time.
