I have absolutely no hype or excitement in regards to this film, but I do find it funny that the poster looks almost exactly like that Independence Day poster with the big alien ship hovering over the city. I’ve got a screening of this coming up soon in a few weeks, so maybe it’ll surprise me, but Keanu Reeves does nothing for me, Jennifer Connelly is human Sleepytime Tea, and Will Smith’s snot-nosed son is in this. Ugh.

You know what Kris, I am right with you on both fronts – the trailer for this has all the usual spectacle that I am normally such an unmitigated whore for (i.e. me and that 2012 teaser!) and yet I just cannot get excited about this film for some reason! AND yup, when they’re down to ripping from ID4 then you’ve got something to be justified in your suspicions for!
The original is one of the best SciFi movies ever made. If you haven’t seen it you really should check it out!
Hated the idea of a remake when I first heard, from the trailer it appears there’s little similarity.
You’re right, it probably will be shit.
I haven’t seen the original. I really must make the effort :blush:
