New THE MIST Poster Online
The new Stephen King movie The Mist has gotten itself a brand new poster – and it looks real purrty. The movie tells the story of a small town that gets enveloped in a freak storm which unleashes a species of blood thirsty beasties on the town – hidden handily by the mist! A group of survivors hole up in the local supermarket and prepare to fight for their lives.
Now, I haven’t read the Stephen King book this is based upon but the concept does sound good, if a little bit influenced by John Carpenters The Fog and George A Romero’s Dawn of the Dead. But considering both of those are classic horror movies maybe that’s a good thing? And it’s being directed by Frank Darabont, who is responsible for the two best book to screen adaptions of Stephen King so far – The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile, so I have high hopes for this, especially after checking out the trailer.
Anyway, enough harping on, why don’t I just show you the poster?

That’s the old poster, there is a new one over at IGN though. And the trailer is good, if not a little too spoilerish for my liking. I’m really looking forward to this one.

I’m on no sleep. The new poster is nice, but I prefer the Struzan one.
