Thanks to IGN for these snazzy Hellboy II pics. Look at Johann! Even though the jury’s still out concerning Liz’s new hairdo, I cannot wait to see this flick when it drops July 11th. I’d even go so far as to say that this is my #2 most anticipated superhero flick for next year(behind Batty and ahead of Iron Man). Big Red looks great, and I cannot wait to see who’s on the receiving end of the gunshot! Click to enlarge!!!! YESS!!!!!!

Mucho coolness! I have to agree about this being one of the biggies for next year for me too. Strangely enough, the other two movies you mentioned are on the list as well….
Anyhoo…back to the pics….Johaan does indeed look cool and that one of Big Red firing his gun…I’m guessing its at something *BIG*. Look at the way his eyes are pointing upwards with an “Aw shit” look on his face. Methinks that Hellboy just shot something which has then grown much bigger!
Oooh yeah, this is going to be sooo good.
I’m hoping HB II does really good. And del Toro can do another one, and like he’s been saying get Bruce Campbell to be Lobster Johnson. That would be awesome.
OMG Bruce Campbell and Hellboy together onscreen? Sarcasm overload! YES!
But one thing that may prevent HBII from doing well is ol’ Batty himself. HBII opens one week before The Dark Knight, and it might get lost in all the Batman hype. Dark Knight will certainly decimate HBII’s second-week gross and take away the target audience of young guys. Getting HBII and Dark Knight within a week’s time seems almost too much and too good for my head to comprehend. That’s gonna be a good time to be alive, lemme tell you…
Dates can be moved though, but I think Hellboy will pull in a respectable number. I really hope that it does better than respectable, cause I want del Toro to finally be able do, At the Mountains of Madness.
I eagerly look forward to this. The first one was a pleasant surprise.
