Stale Popcorn

Whilst the ridiculously overblown “war-of-words” rages on between Spike Lee and Clint Eastwood (there was no black soldiers in Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers either Spike, what the hell was that about eh? Racist friggin’ orcs!), the trailer for Lee’s latest movie, Miracle At St Anna, debuts. Hmmm, anyone seem to see the running pattern of Lee having a “beef” with someone or something everytime he has a movie about to drop?

That’s not to take anything away from the fact that I love, absolutely love, Spike Lee as a filmmaker. Hell, I’ve got an entire subsection of DVDs dedicated to his work – as you can remind yourself about by clicking here! I’ve got to say the very idea of a Spike Lee “war movie” intrigues the hell out of me and this new project looks absolutely awesome. I watched the trailer twice in a row and I’m blown away by it.
