JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA Face Their Toughest Foes…..The WGA??
The new Justice League of America movie could be about to face it’s toughest challenge – the lack of a finished script! Despite reports that the movie has been given the greenlight and there are casting rumours flying here there and everywhere, according to The New York Times the script for the movie is not actually ready to go.
And the Writers Guild of America are ready to down tools on October 31st this year, instead of waiting to coincide their strike with the Actors Guild next June.
Apparently scripts like Justice League are now seen as “high valued” targets by the WGA as a huge bargining point if they cannot reach a deal with the studios. In otherwords, leave a script that the studio is desperate to get filmed unfinished and the WGA are more likely to get a better deal. Which will of course cause the studios even more problems as they try and get movies rushed through before the Actors Guild strike next year – after all, you cannot film a movie without a script! Can you?
Doesn’t look good for the JLA….
