Bloody Disgusting have confirmed what a lot of Ghostbusters fans have hoped since the announcement of Ghostbusters 3…….Ivan Reitman, the director of both Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 is 100% on board the project as a Producer and is considering, but not sure yet, if he wants to direct the third outing for our favourite paranormal investigators.

Added to the news that the original cast of Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaverhave all confirmed their involvement in various interviews then this can only be good news for the third movie if, or should that be when, it goes into production.

What is also interesting is that BD have discovered some more details regarding the story for the movie. It appears the movie will tell the story of the ‘Busters re-opening their ghost busting business after it has been closed for a “number” of years. So, I assume, that means that all of the Ghostbusters will be out doing their own thing and they have to come back together for some reason, which will give us some lovely reunion moments.

Regardless, this is one sequel that I am really excited about so I am hoping that it does go into production and soon!
