It’s Time To Believe THE SPIRIT Will Suck!

Thanks to ComingSoon for giving me the heads-up about a new TV ad for The Spirit that has been thrown up at Yahoo!Movies.  My thoughts?  It sucks!  That stupid tagline: “It’s time to believe in heroes”?!  HUH?  We already do, you dummies!  A little flick called The Dark Knight, ring a bell?  Everything that has come out to promote this film sucks, so if I was 87% sure this movie was gonna suck, I’m 99.9% sure now.  Can we officially call the time of death of this thing?  The more footage they release, the dumber this thing looks!  The dialogue is crap, some of the visuals look downright hokey, and even poor Sam Jackson looks like he knows this one’s a dud.  I’ve been led astray by movie trailers in the past, so there is a slim, and I do mean SLIM possibility that the movie could rock when viewed as a whole.  There’s also the possibility that I’ll win the lotto tomorrow and Hugh Jackman will come over to my place to celebrate with me, but I’m not holding my breath.

    Holy shit, the series finale for The Shield was pretty damn perfect.

    if it had no women and a good decent villain it would be a great movie

    (not saying women cant act…just saying that the whole 30 sluts in one movie to attract geeks thing is EXTREMELY annoying)

    every hero movie DESERVES and BY LAW should have gwyneth as the “mary jane”

    i mean who wouldnt save HER!? have you SEEN her FACE!!???

    Yeah, agree 100% man. You can tell from everything they have released so far that this is GOING TO SUCK BIG TIME!!! Not because of the source of material, casting or acting – but the DIRECTING! By all means I respect Frank Miller as a comic artist but a film director? I whisper:”NO!…” LOL
