It’s The New SHERLOCK HOLMES Trailer!
Funny, yet odd. Exciting, yet somewhat weird. That in a nutshell is pretty much how I would sum up this trailer. I like what I’m seeing for the most part, but period pieces that try to insert some modern-ish humor tend to leave a funny taste in my mouth. This reads as more slapsticky than I imagined it would be, which puts me off a bit, and Jude Law being within a fifty-mile radius of this film reeks of a disaster in my eyes. He’s never been a good actor nor an attractive man, and all of the media fuss that tried to persuade me otherwise irritated the mess out of me for a very long time. Same goes for Guy Ritchie, who I find to be so overrated that if undeserved hype were a crime, he would have been drawn and quartered a long time ago. Then again, I love Downey and it is good to see Miss McAdams get her tail back on the big screen where she belongs. I’ve never seen any Sherlock Holmes projects, so forgive me if I’m mistaken, but I thought that SH was a somewhat serious story. This looks a little too goofy to me, but who knows. I’ve misjudged flicks based on trailers alone, so this could end up being really good. What do you think?

Wow.
I was expecting this movie would be kinda like…Davinci Code meets The Prestige meets Zorro (Zorro without the mask or sword, but a magnifying glass and a pistol)
This looks like one of those odd/funny movies no ones going to see and will only be in theaters for 2 weeks.
And my hopes were set so high for this movie!!
Yeah, but is it going be as freakin ace as YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES which, come the **** on Kris, how the hell could you not have seen that movie?
It’s a stone cold old-childhood classic!
Sorry
Quite interested after watching that, Cheers!
I thought it looked pretty darn cool.
The “comedy” seemed about right – and some of it is taken well out of context! It is a trailer after all.
And Young Sherlock Holmes is still one of my favourite movies, to this day! That sequence with Watson and the cakes actually really scared me the first time I saw it! Absolute classic movie.
Have you seen Jude Law in person? Well, I have serveral times and he is one of the best looking actors that I have seen in real life and I have seen plenty living in LA.
As for being a bad actor – he is currently starring on stage as Hamlet and is drawing raves both from critics and audiences alike. A lot of people who are not fans of his go away blown away by his performance and I don’t have to tell you that Hamlet is a role that very few actors even try because it is an exhausting role and you got to have both balls and talent to carry it off.
Oh and also, being a bad actor, he has also been nominated for a Tony for his stage part in Indiscretions, won a BAFTA for Ripley and has been nominated for an Oscar twice for Ripley and Cold Mountain. So I guess he is a bad actor.
