Have We Found The Source Of The WOLVERINE Leak?!

wolvie! This story was huge news not too long ago, but the furor around the Wolverine leak–and the FBI-assisted manhunt aimed at finding the party responsible–has fallen silent…until now.  We could very well know the evil, mischievous deviant who dared to leak this weak sauce online, saving countless fanboys $10 and unleashing a torrent of venom aimed at 20th Century Fox for the treatment of their beloved Deadpool.  To unravel this tale, we gotta go back a few months. Do you remember a fellow by the name of Roger Friedman, a guy who got canned from Fox for not only downloading/streaming a copy of the pirated film, but also being brain-dead enough to review a leaked Fox film on a Fox website?  Well, he’s lawyered up since then and is looking to sue his former employer for wrongful termination, and it looks like his lawyer has discovered the source of the leak.  Drumroll please!  The culprit is…

Rupert Murdoch, the owner of 20th Century Fox!!!  The owner of the friggin’ company (allegedly) leaked his studio’s big summer tentpole film online.  Say what?!   Now, the details of this allegation make this revelation much more innocent than at first glance.  The story goes that Murdoch wanted a copy of the Wolverine workprint on DVD to watch, and during this process, another copy of it was made and was leaked.  Now, at first, I laughed off this news, but think about it.  The studio made a HUGE stink about “we’ve got the feds on our side and we’re gonna get whoever did this so come forward now or we’ll knock your door down!”  Then, they got strangely quiet.  Do you really think that Fox would be eager to come forward and admit that their misfortune was of their own making?  They’d look like grade-A dumbasses and be the laughingstock of, well, everywhere!  Other studios would mock them to kingdom come, and all of the fanboys who were threatened via email with legal action for watching the thing would be crying with laughter.  It’s hard to get indignant over people benefiting from your stupid mistake, isn’t it?  Or perhaps Murdoch leaked it in order to have an excuse if the film underperformed.  “Blame it on the leak!”  Fox has yet to respond to this allegation, which again leads me to believe that it’s true.  Otherwise, why not deny it?  BUSTED!

Well, if Rupert Murdoch wanted a copy of it and he kinda has a right to see it, owning the studio and all. Wouldn’t it be the person who actually made the second copy of the movie while making Murdoch’s be responsible?
