And yes, Grundy, you're right. Brimson distanced himself from the first movie due to "creative differences" between what he'd written and Alexander wanted to film for some of the characters. Which is when the Marketing bods for the original movie suddenly came up with the idea (having lost a real link to football hooligans due to Brimson once having been one) that they'd start saying that it was based off of Alexanders experience with hooliganism with her brother in Germany or some such cobblers. I’m never forced into anything. I might be “asked”, but never actually “forced”.

And yes, Grundy, you’re right. Brimson distanced himself from the first movie due to “creative differences” between what he’d written and Alexander wanted to film for some of the characters.
