Full Theatrical HANCOCK Trailer Online

This one hit the interwebs “unofficially” last week, and was subsequently taken offline again a day or so later, but if you didn’t get the chance then, you can now check out the theatrical trailer for the Will Smith starring Hancock over at Yahoo! Movies by clicking this link.

Now, I have to say, that I actually like the look of this. The beginning of the trailer with Smith as a drinking, slovenly, collateral damage causing superhero who nobody likes looks like it could be a refreshing change this summer, when we seem to be being overwhelmed with superhero movies, but I can’t help wonder if when it shifts into more traditional superhero type style after he comes out of gaol if the movie is just going to become a little “meh”.

Still, the trailer looks like this should be fun, even if it is getting a little bit annoying that trailers seem to more and more reveal exactly what is going to happen in a movie! It would be nice if we didn’t get to see all of the action scenes and the “twist” of the villain in the trailer and got the surprise in the movie, where it’s supposed to be!

As the trailer says, Hancock will be hitting the cineplex on July 2nd - is it going to be able to do enough to withstand the potential juggernaut that is The Dark Knight? Honestly, I don’t think so but it might just get us all in the mood for the Bat!
