First Shot From THE PUNISHER 2!!!

You make a movie adaptation of a beloved comic book property that stars Ivan Drago and the dude out of Iron Eagle Parts 1, 2, 3 and 4. It is shit! It goes straight to video!

You decide to have a second crack at it but that falters in its ‘revenge movie opening weekend face-off’ against Tarantino’s Kill Bill Volume 2, despite not actually being that bad!

You miraculously get a second shot when a sequel is green-lit but you ignore the offer of writing and directorial services from a genuine gritty, B-movie god like Walter Hill in favour of the person responsible for this piece of [Wyverex says we cannot swear in articles anymore!]. You then deliver a script so bad that your original star – Thomas Jane – refuses to return.

You instead cast some-no-mark from TV’s Rome that isn’t Kevin McKidd, when the guy is SCREAMING out for a decent shot at the big leagues.

And you make sure that your first official press still from the upcoming sequel a) is about as bland as you could possibly make it and b) looks like it is Steven Seagal from any number of his twice-yearly straight-to-DVD abominations.

You are The Punisher 2 and you, sir, are detested before you’ve even completed filming!

    They really needed to pick a better photo. I’m still gonna give it a shot, because I’m a fan of the character.

    Really gotta wonder what happened with Stuart Beattie’s script.

    Chances are I will end up checking this out, but not in a rush.

    And it really is uncanny how much he looks like Steven Seagal! Scary!! Lets hope that it’s not an indication of just how poor this is going to be
