Well, here’s my reason to live until next year. If that doesn’t get you hot, nothing will. Indy 4 is gonna have to pull the mother of all rabbits out of a hat to top this flick next year. WOW!
Funny story: I just showed this to my little sister, who hasn’t been following the film but is a big fan of Bale. She saw Ledger and started to say, “Is that…” but quickly shut up as the trailer played. I asked her when the trailer ended what she was about to say and she said, “I was gonna ask if that was Heath Ledger”. I was surprised she recognized him under that makeup. She replied, “Well, I was about to ask why the heck they cast him, but then the rest of the trailer played and I shut my mouth. He looks like he’s doing a great job. When does this come out?” A casual fan like my sis has been instantly converted to Team Heath:)

That does look good. So good that I’m finally starting to buy into this version of the Joker.
Umm. I’m not seeing what the big deal is. Burton’s Gotham looked far better. His Joker looked far better. This looks Robocop cheap.
From the stills of the Joker that were floating around, I’d certainly have agreed with you, Chris. But, from the trailer, it does look like Heath Ledger is going to be able to carry of this incarnation of the character.
Burton’s Batman was excellent, but I also think that Batman Begins worked well in its own right. As such, I am optimistic about The Dark Knight.
Heath Ledger looks like he’ll drag this film over the finish line, much like Molina did as Doc Ock in Spiderman 2.
I never get excited about Nolan films from their trailers, they never click for me. I’ll wait patiently until summertime for this one.
