I meant to write about this last week, but with one thing and another it completely slipped my mind. But apparently Francis Ford Coppola has had his house in Argentina broken into and a laptop was stolen. Unfortunately the laptop contained all the work he had done on his next movie, Tetro. Now that sucks.
But not being funny, but surely Coppola has heard of a little thing called “backups”? Tetro is meant to be being released in 2009 – but I guess that now depends on the recovery of the laptop.

Smartass, he had backups, and apparently they were taken, too. That’s sad. That laptop had family pictures and stuff, too. I hope the little thieving cocksucker returns it.
I agree it’s sad about the family pictures etc but i stand by my comment about backups. They shouldn’t be held in the same location as the original, otherwise it negates the point of having them.
But if they took backups as well it sounds like they knew not only what they were after but also where to find it. I think they should start looking at the staff.
The butler did it!
Only ****ing Wyv could turn a personal tragedy into a lecture about computer security!
