BEAUTY AND THE BEAST In 3-D?! YES PLEASE!
I do not like the direction that the Disney company has taken lately, with its focus on vacuous teen starlets who insist on posting slutty pics of themselves online, but the Disney brand and my life are intertwined. The very first film that my parents ever took me to see was Oliver and Company. The Lion King is the first film to move me to tears, is the film that inspired me to take up film as a career path, and remains my all-time favorite film. And Beauty and the Beast made me feel cool about being a bookworm like Belle. Now comes this GLORIOUS news that Beauty and the Beast is being prepped for a 3-D release in 2010!!!! I am so pumped for this, but I do wonder how the 3-D is going to work. Things weren’t flying at the screen during this movie, so it’ll probably be more of an immersive experience that increases the depth of the picture, like The Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D was. Either way, I am so there!
