Are We Not Past The Anti-Cruise Bile Yet?

Jesus Christ Roger Friedman, did Tom Cruise not send you a Christmas (do Scientologists celebrate the festival of Mr Claus by the way?) Card or something? Did your wife not let you wet your end in her cooch the night before you wrote this?

Friedman’s article over at FOXNews.com is the worst form of journalism out there, it’s assumption riddled pap masquerading as ill-informed character assassination dressed up as ‘informed profiling’. Bullshit! Are we REALLY still attacking Tom Cruise? Honestly? Is it not Martin Lawrence’s turn yet?

Friedman’s article is a must-read for several reasons; his opinion that Bryan Singer’s Valkyrie is a “set up for not only failure, but ridicule” despite the film not actually being finished yet and being delayed for this reason, and no other. Then there’s his references to “yet another ill-conceived Ben Stiller project” and director Todd Phillips being “less-than-elegant”.

Woah, calm down fella! Attacking the Cruise is one thing (despite the fact that you’re about a year out of date but we’ll let that slide!) because he’s got an army of aliens to protect him or something (I’m unclear about the whole Scientology thing to be frank, as I fell asleep 10 minutes into Battlefield Earth) but turning on Stiller and Phillips? Oh! No! You! Didn’t!

Somebody release Owen Wilson in the proximity of Mr Friedman’s house!!!

Well, I’ve heard all of the bad things about this movie, so I decided to watch the trailer, and promptly laughed my head off. If you guys haven’t seen it yet, you owe it to yourself to check it out. It is the WORST attempt at an accent I’ve ever heard in my life. Half the time he’s not even trying to sound German! I think the studios were right to move it to avoid getting laughed at during Oscar season. There’s nothing more embarassing for a big star than to have their Oscar bait movie not only fail, but become a source of ridicule from the critics. I really think this thing is gonna be DOA if it opens Feb 13th, though. Nobody wants to spend Valentine’s weekend with a Nazi.

I checked out the trailer and it doesn’t seem that any of them are attempting German accents, probably a good idea or it would all be a bit ‘Allo ‘Allo if you ask me. Lst I heard was they were releasing it on Presidents’ Day or something (whenever that is!)

Presidents Day weekend starts February 13th. February 14th is Valentine’s Day.

In that case spot on Kristina. The cast may look decent enough but the trailer didn’t exactly fill me with excitement either

Good post. The easy part is to set up a blog, the hard part is to make it interesting so people will visit it…Well done! :)
