A Reminder: The 2nd ASPEYA AWARDS Are Coming!!!
Just another gentle reminder folks…
It’s BACK! The 2nd ASPEYA (Annual Stale Popcorn End Of Year) AWARDSÂ 2008 will be ripe for publishing in the first week of January!
So I thought I’d give you, dear readers, the chance to start planning your contributions – unlike last year when only ONE of you submitted your selections! First of all, why don’t you familiarise yourself with 2007′s winners and losers [Volume 1 - The Reader's Vote, Volume 2 - Kristina's Best & Worst of 2007, Volume 3 - Gazz's Best & Worst of 2007, Volume 4 - Kristina's TOP 25 of the year and Volume 5 - Gazz's TOP 25 of the year] and then make the leap to see what criteria we’re looking for you to ‘fill in’ and send over to us.
Wyv chose not to take part last year and, with him taking a back seat, it’ll just be Kristina and I again this year but at least that’ll be in keeping with 2007′s articles and you can compare and contrast to see what we’re loving and hating year by year. Asides from the Top 5, it’s ONE nomination per category. Movies have to have had a release within the UK and/or the US between January 1st 2008 and Decemeber 31st 2008. They’ll have to have had a big screen release too. So, sorry Scorpion King 2, leave quietly now! All contributions need to arrive with me via January 2nd 2009, sent to undiscovered_genius@hotmail.com with the subject header of “ASPEYA 2008 – READER’S VOTE’ and we promise to try harder and arrange some sort of prize draw, like we suggested last year but never managed to pull off, for one lucky contributor.

no, its not that im selfishly telling people to not dislike a movie, im saying that the suckiness of them are so redundant that they don’t need to be put on any kind of list…its like when the teacher asks “what was one difference between the north and the south in the civil war” and one dumbass says “they’re spelled differently!”

Once I finish finals, I should be able to start compiling my list. Still got some stuff I need to see.
It’s ****ing frustrating for me doing mine because the likes of THE WRESTLER, SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE etc aren’t out here in 2008 and then the ones that I think deserve high places like BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOUR DEAD and THE MIST are actually ‘technically’ last years films.
But… I can only go off the UK releasing schedules so…
I’m leaving a space open for AUSTRALIA just in case though
oh no it was a legit question lmao i wasnt being a dick “you actually LIKED that moviee???” no i was asking because i thought it would be good…then i saw the trailer and said “that doesnt look that good” then found out it was only a DVD movie….but i have no opinion on it lol

i DOUBT like- REALLY doubt it was worse then 10,000 B.C. which happened to be the biggest pathetic excuse of a backalley abortion of a movie ive ever seen
i cant even begin to explain how horrible that movie was…
Lets see the only movies I’ve seen this year have been;
Cloverfield, Iron Man, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, The Incredible Hulk, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, The Dark Knight, The Midnight Meat Train, Pineapple Express, Tropic Thunder, Burn After Reading and infinitely retarded Punisher: War Zone.
Nothing all that special, I was lazy this year. Though I will hopefully be seeing The Wrestler next week.
