TotalFilm have got a nice little feature over on their website called ‘5 Spec Scripts That Are Better Than The Finished Film’, with tantalising script samples AND links to all (bar one) of the original spec scripts themselves!
Ever wondered what I Am Legend would have been like if Mark Protosevich had been left alone and not had to stand by and let Akiva Fucktwat rape it - and I knew it was he who bastardised the script, as I suggested in my original review! Ever wanted to sample a GREAT Freddy Vs Jason concept as opposed to a piddling-to-okay one? What about a Truman Show set in Manhattan, with Truman threatening to smash the skulls of babies? There’s Darabont’s version of Indiana Jones 4, which I only ever managed to get half read before it disappeared from the net - and I was aggrevied to see it STILL had that friggin’ escape-via-fridge sequence in it, but best of all… George A. Romero’s Resident Evil!

I thought that Prosetivich’s script for I Am Legend was technically very good but story-wise it was still Hollywood bollocks. Come on, a fight in the subway? A rowboat to freedom?
Hmm. Not so good either.
The more you think about it, the more every script for Indy 4 sucked in one way or another. A shame really. Sanity suggests it should never have been made but then again it wasn’t awful to watch. Strange movie in that regard.
I think they have to make an INDY 5, as crazy as that sounds, simply because I just cannot accept the franchise going out on such a mediocre finish.
They had the perfect ending in LAST CRUSADE. Now they’re going to have to fix it with a fifth movie *shudder*!
No no no. No more. Indy’s ass is still too sore from the raping he got last time. One more round of this and he’ll never shit right again!
