3rd ASPEYA 2009 #3: Kristina’s BEST AND WORST of 2009!

Tuesday saw the publication of the rather pitiful ‘Reader’s Vote’.

Yesterday saw me throw my thoughts down on the best and worst of 2009.

Today, Stale Popcorn’s resident goddess Kristina puts forth her lists (in reverse numerical order to how the lists have been thus far, coz she likes to stand out!) for your dutiful consideration.

What do you lot reckon? I’ll tell you what I personally reckon – having had a sneaky peak at what Kris has lined up for her upcoming Top 25, only in her world could she fill places on that list with movies she’s got down here as the worst of the year! :S

In my defense, I saw less than 30 movies this year, so my Top 25 has stuff on there that I didn’t necessarily like. If I’d seen more, trust me, that crap would not have made my top 25.

thank GOD, someone saw the Hurt Locker

    Advice, watch The Road.

I admit i havent seen Coraline.

But Im going to see The Lovely Bones this weekend! =D !!!

I want to see The Road, but it’s not playing near me.

Coraline is GORGEOUS, particularly that scene in the garden. That shot just made my jaw drop. Beautiful movie. Should get a nod for Best Animated Picture, but Up should and will beat it.

And The Hurt Locker was exceptional. It was pretty huge around here since I live near a military base. A lot of the people I know are military affiliated, and it’s a very popular flick around here. showings kept selling out. It’s a miracle I got in to see it!

And Haz, Lovely Bones is getting destroyed in reviews. Ebert pwned it, and my best friend got into a screening the other night and said it was AWFUL. I love the book, so I’m afraid of what they’ve done to the film, but we’ll see I guess.

My best friends saw it and they said it was amazing, they really really were trying to get me to see it, but i never got to it.

I dont care, I read the book and it was beautiful… and the movie looks great. I never really care about reviews, lots of my favorite movies are shit in Rotten Tomatoes. Thats just what other people think. Scenes from the movie were released and im sooo excited to go see it.

I just hope… they instead of showing the way he kills her.. they just kinda narrate around that. Im a pussy when it comes to these movies and i rather they dont get too graphic on that scene. its not just a gore scene but very strong, i swear to god if Peter Jackson shows it ill hate him. Forever.

Ive had several dreams that Rorschach appears in the book The Lovely Bones… i know it sounds weird but i think it would have been the most fair thing in the world
