2009 GOLDEN GLOBES Results!
Well, I have to say that the results weren’t much of a surprise, although the love for Slumdog Millionaire has me puzzled. I saw it, loved it, and will have a review up soon, but it’s become the new Juno/Little Miss Sunshine to me: a film that is fine on its own, but has been blown out of proportion. Frost/Nixon deserved it more. I only watched the final hour of the show as I had more important things (24) to watch, but I have to say that Kate Winslet was utterly fantastic. Her second speech was incredible, and her shout-out to Leo was more heartfelt and emotional than the one to her husband (just sayin’)! Rourke was predictably weird-looking but funny on the mic, and of course, Heath brought the crowd to its feet (though Downey looked noticeably pissed to me). and since I watch these shows mostly for fashion, I have to say that Salma Hayek, Kate Winslet, and Eva Longoria looked lovely, while Cameron Diaz and Renee Zellweger looked like hot messes. So, on to the results! Do you agree with them?

One Response to “2009 GOLDEN GLOBES Results!”
I don’t care for these things, but I did see Gervais presenting, which was funny. And Aronofsky giving Rourke the finger.
