SUPERBAD Clips!

Superbad Two Disc DVD CoverSuperbad, which was written by Stale Popcorn favourite Seth Rogen and stars Jonah Hill, Michael Cera and Rogen himself, is released on Region 2 DVD on Monday and I’ve just received links to five clips from the movie to whet your appetite.

Here’s the “official synopsis”:

Seth (HILL) and Evan (CERA) are about to head off to college and want nothing more than to hook up with the girls at High School before it’s too late. All that stands in their way is a complete lack of alcohol with which to impress at the biggest party of the year. They enlist the help of their friend Fogell, a.k.a. McLovin (MINTZ-PLASSE) and armed with a fake I.D. go in search of a Liquor Store that will serve them. What they end up getting in return is a rollercoaster ride of incompetent cops, irate college boys and an unforgettable finale at the big party itself.

From successful producer JUDD APATOW, responsible for some of the most highly acclaimed comedies of the past few years (The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up), Superbad stars JOHAN HILL (Evan Almighty, Knocked Up, Click), MICHEAL CERA (TV’s Arrested Development), SETH ROGAN (40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up) and newcomer CHRISTOPHER MINTZ-PLASSE. It’s the side-splitting story of high school friends desperately trying to reverse a lifelong losing streak in one riotous night.

I haven’t seen this myself yet but I know both Kristina and Gazz loved this movie and as I also loved Knocked Up and The 40 Year Old Virgin I’m guessing that I’ll feel pretty much the same as them about this. Anyway, here’s those clips (in a variety of formats & sizes):

Superbad really isn’t anything like Knocked Up or The 40 Year Old Virgin, so it isn’t a good idea to go into watching this thinking that way. Be prepared for some raunchy but truthful language and some very immature but hilarious humor. It’s very different than the other 2 movies mentioned, but it’s really great. The bonus material on the DVD is excellent.

this seems like the type of movie that would be shown really late at night on the comedy channel…
