SHIFTY DVD Release Trailer

Shifty_2D DVD packshot

Back in May I reviewed a very good British movie called Shifty (which you read here) and, despite not expecting much, I was quite happily surprised and really enjoyed it, and now it’s available to buy on DVD & Blu-Ray.

The movie tells the story of Shifty, a young crack cocaine dealer on the outskirts of London. The sudden return home of his best friend sets in motion a chain of events that see Shifty’s life quickly spiral out of control and features rising stars including Riz Ahmed (Dead Set & Britz) and Daniel Mays (Atonement & Vera Drake)as well as Jason Flemyng and Francesca Annis and is available as either a single disc DVD or a 2 disc release, which is exclusive to HMV.

The single disc release contains:

- Commentary with Writer/Director Eran Creevy & Riz Ahmed (Shifty)
- The Making of SHIFTY
- Behind The Scenes
- Deleted Scenes
- ‘Shifty’ soundtrack by MC Riz, Sway & Plan B – music video
- ‘Number One’ by Tinchy Stryder Ft. N-Dubz – music video (from the producers of Shifty)
- Eran Creevy’s commercials
- Shifty soundtrack sampler
- Theatrical Trailer

While the second disc in the HMV exclusive edition adds:

- Over 100 minutes of Extended Interviews with Cast & Crew
- Riz Ahmed, Sway, Plan B: SHIFTY (Uncut Version)
- Scene Storyboards – See How The Key Scenes Were Brought To Life By The Filmmakers
- The Complete SHIFTY Script

And why not visit the official site, here. I recommend picking this directorial debut from writer/director Eran Creevy, as it really is very good.

That looks interesting. I’ll probably never see it, though :(

Happy belated B-day Gareth! As a present, hopefully I can sit down and ****ing do these reviews that I keep meaning to do and end up getting sidetracked by life.
