Stale Popcorn

Sorry for the lack of updates on my part over the last few weeks. I’m without regular internet access so I try and snatch some time on the PC where and when I can get it. I’m going to try and get at least ONE review and ONE piece of news up a day every day for the next week though to refresh the news and review columns a little, and Wyv and Kris are still around too so don’t be too disheartened at the light build-up of cob-webs around here. We’ve got out our featherdusters and dusted things down. No news etc. for ages and ages? It’s a thing of the past (until next time LOL)!

In better news, one of the reasons why I’ve been quiet is that I’ve been steadily and steathily working away in secret on a couple of things – a book deal which looks very much like it’s going to fall through at the eleventh hour methinks AND, for UK Stalepopcorners, the chance for this site to have its very own monthly film night up here in Newcastle.

The latter is all very tentative at the moment as I’m looking into copyright(s) and costs of prints etc. and whether the cinema in question takes the cost, whether they expect us to, could it be split or taken off the cost of the tickets sold etc. All very “grey” at the moment. However, if you’ve ever dreamed of seeing things like The Hidden, Monster Squad, Dead & Buried or Prince of Darkness up on the big screen in a cinema that lets you drink alcohol in your seat then… stay tuned!
