*NOW ENDED* WIN STUFF! THE NEVERENDING STORY On DVD!
Amazingly, Monday the 18th of August saw the long delayed release of The Neverending Story, Wolfgang Petersen’s classic 80’s fantasy movie, on Region 2 DVD! Why do I say “amazingly”? Well, because, although this movie has been available on Region 1 for ages this is the first time it has been released on Region 2, and at the bargin price of £9.99 RRP (but available for quite a bit less online) it is a must for any child of the 80’s.
Seriously, I loved this movie when I first saw it. The adventure of Atreyu, as experienced by Bastian as he reads the Neverending Story, is something that not only can I still remember quite clearly, but also resonates quite a lot with my childhood. The escape into a fantasy land that was enabled by books, comics and movies is what has driven me into the love of movies that I now have, and I am so happy that this wonderful movie has finally been given a UK release so that I and my wife can experience the joy of watching it with our children.

Do you know how many fat actors there are in Part 3 of that movie?!? Now, if you’ve said “Which rotund comedian had a small role in…” then I wouldn’t have felt so obliged to have played “good cop” to your “bad cop”. ha ha!
