** NOW ENDED ** WIN STUFF! THE FOOT FIST WAY Competition
So here’s the first of the new competitions to grace the site this weekend, and it’s to celebrate the long delayed release of Danny McBride’s The Foot Fist Way in UK cinemas. I say long delayed, as the movie first debuted in 2006 on the Festival circuit. Not too long to wait for it to hit the cinema, eh!
Here’s the “official synopsis”:
Danny McBride of Tropic Thunder & Pineapple Express fame plays Fred Simmons, a redneck Tae Kwon Do instructor, ruling over his Deep South dojo and his small town. When he discovers that his wife has given her new boss a hand job, he flies off the rails and starts drinking heavily, hitting on his female students and just straight-up hitting the male ones. Realising that he’s out of control, Fred decides to go on a pilgrimage to meet his idol Chuck “The Truck” Wallace, a famous martial artist and movie star. But when he eventually gets to meet him, it seems that the South may not be big enough for the both of them….

Man, I freakin’ love Danny McBride. Foot Fist Way is awesome if you thought Danny was funny in anything else, cause the film is basically him doing the same schtick for a full run time. For some this might be a good time, for others it might be unbearable - could go either way.
Mediamelt!!! A man whose taste in movies I somewhat admire! Thank God you spoke highly of this movie. I’ve just FINALLY chased down a R1 copy and it’s winging its way to me as we speak. I have heard superb things about it AND 2008 is McBride’s year!
